The 500 mm lens is not your typical flower-shooting lens. But I was using it late yesterday at Hilina Pali, shooting sunsets (yes, I'm aware that your typical sunset shot is a wide shot) and, as always, loving the way a long telephoto compresses what's in its field of view. One shot is here, and another's here. So this morning I took it out, and found a head-on gardenia shot. As you see.
