Today would have been my mother's 111th birthday.
So, during a break in the rain, I went out to shoot one of the honeysuckles she planted in the early 1950s. It's still doing well, and has been in the HDI several times. This morning I coupled it with an orange o'hi'a blossom from a tree that I planted in 2014.
Old and new, mother and son. It seemed fitting to me.
