If I were forced to choose one part of the yard to shoot, I'd choose the anthurium bed. There's more there in a smaller space than anywhere else in the yard. There are always shapes to throw out of focus, always dark patches, always moisture, and always subtle colors.
Plus it's close to the house and when it's raining I can even shoot down into it from the porch (as I often have done).
