Sometimes the wind feels like an enemy, and sometimes it feels like a friend who won't cooperate.

This morning I went to the back stairs to see what I could see, and noticed the mauka neighbor's "lipstick" palms framed by my cinnamon tree's flowered branches, and a hapu'u.

I easily got the depth of field that I wanted, but I also wanted the cinnamon and hapu'u to be whipped by the wind. I dialed down everything so get as long an exposure as possible, but the wind wouldn't cooperate. Gentle breezes. No!

After almost 10 minutes, I gave up.
