This is going to be Blue Jade Week: here's #1.

 

Obviously the blue jade is blooming. There are two sprays -- one is fully-formed (this is one of its blossoms) and the other is immature. Both of them are on the shady side of the wall, which makes morning work tough. The upside is that there's less contrast.

 

Shooting blue jade flowers is tricky, because of their shape. It's almost impossible to focus on the interior (as I've done here) and also have the hook in focus.

 

Anyway, get ready for Blue Jade Week.
