Sunny morning. I was in a close-up mood, especially when I saw that the Kula gardenia had popped out dozens of flowers.

 

Of all the flowers here in the yard, the Kula gardenias cry out for head-on shots. Of course, making those shots isn't as difficult as with other flowers, because the Kulas are fairly flat.

 

I liked this one because I could get all the detail at the center, because the dew drops were not only nice, and because they were also reflecting the yellow from the other Kulas.

 

We're going to spend tomorrow on Mauna Kea, but I don't think we'll leave early. So the HDI should be from the yard. If we do get out early, though, it's going to be from Keanakolu Road.
