Hilo Daily Image
1 November 2015
Dull morning, but it wasn't raining when I went out. My eye was caught by this withered anthurium, mainly because of its texture and the way it was pressed up against the white one.
The insect is a bonus.
I realize that I return again and again to the patterns that the anthurium leaves make. Their margins are always lighter than the rest of the leaf, and so a group of them always makes interesting arc-like patterns, which I very much like.
There was a yellow anthurium today -- really just yellow on its way to brown. I spent some time in Lightroom working with that image, but in the end I liked this one more. Here's the yellow one.
