When I went out on the porch about 6:15, during a break between showers, I was hoping to see something useful. And I did.

 

These are leaves from when I pruned the shower tree a couple of weeks ago. The rain and wind has driven them nicely into cracks on the lava.

 

My favorite "things in cracks in lava" is still the one from Christmas, 2014.
