Having spent yesterday with both dying 'ohi'a (killed by the lava) and red-orange lava, composing a happily-alive orange 'ohi'a shot seemed like the right thing.
And also it was good to re-enter my comfort zone of camera on tripod, Live View, Aperture priority, focusing rack, low ISO and shutter speed, and all the parts of being a photographer that I had to wholly abandon yesterday. But I'm very glad for yesterday's experience and am hoping for another chance.
