Raining hard when I went out -- true, it was early (just after 6 AM). I thought that the steps looked interesting, so I went back inside and mounted the superwide. When I came back out with it on the tripod, and stepped off the upper porch, the security light went on.

Oh well. It does add something.

If you know where to look, this image shows you many places where I've made the HDI: the railing, the anthurium bed, the rock wall (with the rat skull still on it), the orange 'ohi'a, the white hibiscus, the hapu'u, the rose pikake, the gardenia hedge, the fig tree, the bohdi tree, the shower tree, one clump of Dypsis, the betel palms, the Bougainvillea, and the kula gardenia.

Also yesterday's HDI was at my extreme telephoto range (600 mm) and here's my extreme wide angle range (14 mm). That's about a 1:43 range, not bad. In both cases, the tripod was in the same place, within a foot or so.
