Hilo Daily Image
10 August 2015
I had the 600 mm still mounted, so I thought I'd see what I could get with it before full light. There was an interesting sunrise, but I wasn't in the mood for YAHS (Yet Another Hilo Sunrise), so I looked around to see what it was lighting up.
Windy, too -- just what I wanted to see over at the tall Areca palm. There was just enough light to see that one front was brown but was backed by green ones. I do like fronds whipping in the wind.
When I brought it into Lightroom, I was taken by the yellow-green along the spine and the mix of yellows and greens down towards the bottom.
So here you are. Areca frond whipping in the wind before 6 AM, on Wailuku Drive.
