Superwide week.

 

I thought I might find something interesting at the base of these two betel palms, so I got down on the ground with the beanbag. Nope. Boring. So I looked up. Way less boring!

 

Every now and then I'm astonished at the way my camera can pull detail out of very high contrast scenes -- such as this one, shooting right up into the sky. It took a bit of work in Lightroom, but here it is.

 

I can't say I'll be sorry to get to the end of Superwide Week. There's a lot of nice close-up stuff in the yard right now.
