There was great stuff looking out towards the sunrise, but in the end I decided on this one -- all angles and planes and strange compression and harsh sunlight. Here's the one I almost used.
It should be clear what this is. To the upper left, though, we're seeing the underside of the metal roof quite a distance away. And the gutter (which you can see suspended below the black purling) appears to be aligned in a way that it really isn't. In other words, it's really at right angles to the wall, but because it's all pulled together it seems to almost be parallel.
And that's what a long lens gives you.
