The orange 'ohi'a we planted about a year ago really like where they're growing. 'Ohi'a are not typicaly fast-growing, but this pair has gone from perhaps 3' to overhead. I don't know what it is about the soil or perhaps ground water where the 'ohi'a are (same area where the white hibiscus I so often shoot are). We had a kula gardenia there -- it had to be moved for the new sidewalks -- and it did the same thing -- grew like crazy.

 

This one is hand-held also. The new lens suits my shooting style perfectly.
