What happens if, because you have to be up before 4 AM, you point the lens the sky, crank ISO up to 2000, hope that focus is at least approximately OK, and shoot? You get stars.
The fun comes when you wonder -- because you know almost nothing about astrophotography -- what might happen in Lightroom if you crank up Clarity, Contrast, Saturation, and Vibrance.
You're looking at the answer. Some of the stars take on colors. Why? I don't know. I doubt that, if seen through a telescope, they would have colors.
But today, in Hilo, at 4 AM, they do.
