Rain. Dull morning.
Here's a shot in which the dying kukui leaf adds more interest than the green living ones do. I thought that from the side it made an interesting image.
Yesterday I spent a nerve-wracking hour cleaning the camera's sensor. I'd only done that once before, and never on the new body. The sensor is a hideously-expensive component and I was using swabs and liquids and electrostatic brushes and air blasters on it. Then going to the porch and making out-of-focus f/32 images of the sky (that's how you get the crap on the sensor into focus, so you can check). After three swabs didn't seem to be making much difference, I took the swab manufacturer's advice and bore down harder than I was comfortable doing. And that did the trick. Now I know.
