Hilo Daily Image
23 April 2015
I haven't offered a Hilo sunrise lately. This isn't one of the colorful ones, but it's interesting. Ruth noticed that one of the clouds had taken the form of the right-hand monkeypod tree. By the time I got set up, the cloud had moved (it's the one in the upper right). But the lower cloud went ahead and took the left-hand monkeypod's form. I got lucky.
When processing, I couldn't decide whether to kill the tops of the betel palms and the bamboo down at the bottom. In the end, I thought a hint of green down there would work.
On a technical note, even though Adobe Lightroom 6 is out, and I'm using it, I'm still fond of DxO Optics and that's what I used this morning.
