I've been trying to clean up the back mauka side. It's slow going, because not only have I been using it as a "I don't know where to put this so I'll put it here" place, but it's also badly overgrown. So yesterday I sawed and snipped and slashed and filled the trailer and went to Green Waste.

 

I knew there were a couple of pineapples back around where I stored (!) the kayak. This is one of them. I was struck by two things -- the red on the leaves, close to the fruit's base, and the way the lower leaves radiate out as seen directly from above.
