There was a brief period of sun. I was outside looking around and almost overlooked this tiny little orchid. It seemed like a happy orchid to me and I loved the colors.

 

I was composing and focusing using the screen, with the sun at my back, so this wasn't an easy shot. I admit I was tempted to go back inside and get a little piece of dark paper or a scrap of dark cloth and place it behind the orchid.

 

Now it's raining again. In Hilo, March is typically the rainy month. This year, April has been.
