I suppose that even in Hilo we must take account of St. Patrick's Day by doing some kind of green thing. In Hilo it's hard not to do some kind of green thing no matter whether it's SPD or Ruth's birthday.

The lychee tree has been without issue for I think 5 years. But it's finally decided to put forth fruit, which is a great thing. People who have never picked and peeled a fresh lychee and eaten it while warm and fragrant and spit out the seed and reached up for another one don't know what they're missing.
