This is the drainage ditch on the Wailuku side of the house. I can shoot there, under the eaves, with no rain jacket for the camera. I was glad I have a monopod, because the light levels were way too low for hand-held, and the tripod would have been too awkward to use in the dry space I had available. I think monopods are under-appreciated. They let you do certain things very effectively.

I went back and forth with this one (b/w vs. color) and decided I didn't want to give up the greens and the small bits of red.
