Dull morning. Bamboo spreading out symmetrically -- something I'm not used to seeing. I couldn't get far enough away to isolate the bamboo "fan" with a long lens, so I did the best I could with the wide. I haven't made a high-contrast B/W image for a long time. I should have brought the image into Photoshop and gotten rid of the Toyama's Norfolk Island pine, in the background. I couldn't find anyway to frame the bamboo and not have it in the frame, although if I'd been able to back up far enough I could have used a short tele and thrown it far far out of focus. Not possible, though.

The black pine hadn't changed at all, so I didn't use it. Maybe next week.
