Green sand. Today would have been my father's 104th birthday, and although I don't know it for certain, most likely he brought this green sand back to the house, where it's been sitting in a metal cooking pot for many years.
I was showing the green sand to a visiting child and realized that if I got it wet and smeared it on the side of a glass vase, interesting things might happen. I backlit it with the morning sun. I rarely prep a shot, but this is a prepped shot. Deal with it!
