On Solstice, at Hilina Pali, I videoed Ruth with some stalks of grass. She brought them home but in the confusion of unpacking, they were put on the rock wall and forgotten. But today I spotted them.

The water droplets seem seasonal -- almost ornaments, or upside down snow globes. Notice that the grass, the wall, and the house itself are reflected in some of the drops.

I'm hopelessly addicted to the closeup lens.

Yesterday, my son Ethan, Ruth, and I worked on a poetry video featuring footage from Hilina Pali on Solstice. Ethan is a professional editor and watching him work was an education. We'll finish the video today and Ruth will post it. We're very pleased with it, so far. These stems of grass are in it.
