The Meyer lemon in the Zen garden, flanked by two clove trees. With aphids and spiderwebs. And no, I didn't compose the shot to place that yellowish blob between the leaves.
I was initially after the whole tree, which has taken on a nice shape. I thought I might be able to use a long focal length and a wide aperture and isolate the tree's shape from the background. It didn't work -- the isolation worked fine, but in the background there was too much green and thus no real sense of isolation. So I moved up and shot the top.
After I finished and came inside to work on the image, the sun came through the clouds. There's a whole different world of possible shots out there now. Bad luck.
