Clear sky at about 5:30 AM. Looking north. I'm heading out for a hoped-for 28 or 30 miles. We'll see. Today I'll be on my 10.6 mile loop (about 1200' ascent but also of course about 1200' descent). After two, I'll decide what to do: a 4 mile loop, an 8 mile loop, or the same 10.6 again. Loops are good because I can look after myself -- water cached in the bushes, plus returning to the house. Point-to-point requires Ruth to get involved.
