Rain.
This is Ruth's yellow cypress, which used to be more-or-less a bonsai. But we've let it grow. It's not too late to bring it back into at least bonsai style, but we have to learn how to do it.
When we first planted it and the kukui (in the background) I couldn't see either one from my desk on the upper floor, unless I stood up. Now they're both visible -- the kukui (which has grown 3' since we planted it) very much so.
Anyway, the yellow cypress is happy and beautiful and gives pleasure.
