Raining again this morning.

I liked the shape and color of the dead grass, the tiny growing plants, and the highlights on the water. This rock face is vertical. I'm always pleased by evidence that it takes very little (a crack, a little organic material, some light and water) for plants to grow on lava.

It's pleasing because, on a volcanic island, that's how we eventually get forests where once there were just lava flows. It does take a while.
