Hilo Daily Image
14 September 2014
Taro leaf. Yes, two days, two leaves. A Hilo acre has a lot of leaves.
This one caught my eye because of the pattern the dead portions were making, and also because the leaf in the bottom left looked as though it were joined to the larger one. It's not. I made nine images, three of which I liked enough to consider for the HDI, but spider webbing (one image had the spider, but that alone wasn't enough to make me choose it), insect leavings, the pseudo-pod leaf, and completely natural fringing made me choose this one.
Maybe tomorrow I'll find a stony image.
