Native hibiscus headed for Green Waste, where it and the rest of the trailer load will be made into mulch, which is then given away to anybody who wants it. I pruned the hibiscus, the kukui, the Surinam cherry, the cinnamon trees, the lychee, the varigated lemon, the pua kenikeni and weeded the taro patch. That filled the trailer.

Just as with the kukui leaf shot from August 15th, a frontal view of a hibiscus flower was pretty, but uninteresting. From the back, in sharp focus with narrow depth-of-field -- much better. So that's what you get.
