Here's the entire hairy Heliconia piece I brought home. I shot it horizontally but in the wild it would have been hanging vertically, with the left end at the top. I'm not going to start overlaying my image with scales, but because it's certainly hard for anybody to know this beautiful flower's size, I'll tell you that it's about 8.5" (22 cm) long.
